As many of you may know, the not-for-profit organization TreeFolks has been a vital partner in our neighborhood as well as the Austin Community as a whole. They have helped shade our streets, beautify our parks, cleanup our creeks, restore our floodplains, and enhance the lives of Austinites.
Treefolks recently suffered a theft that has impacted their mission as explained below. If you have the means to help, this is an appeal to be a good neighbor.
TreeFolks is heartbroken to have to share with you that our offices were burglarized on July 27th. The break-in resulted in the theft of over $100,000 in vital equipment and resources critical to our operations. Despite this setback, our commitment to our mission remains unwavering. TreeFolks is dedicated to continuing our efforts to expand the tree canopy in Central Texas and is taking immediate steps to recover from this incident.
We are deeply touched by the outpouring of support from our community in the wake of this unfortunate event. The solidarity and encouragement we have received reaffirm our belief in the power of collective action and resilience.
