August is back to School month. So get the word out to anyone with school aged children.

• Sean Winn from the Plastic Reduction Project will be telling us how we can advocate for plastics reduction in Schools
• Tanya Marin from Austin Creative Reuse will be showing us how we can reuse items that can’t be recycled and sharing some information about some Back to School programs at ACR.
• A representative of the Austin ISD Food Services will be sharing information about food programs available in schools.

• Election season is upon us and this year we are having both the Mayoral Race for the City of Austin as well as the District 4 City Council race. We have tentatively planned to have a candidate forum for the September General Meeting.
