In the newsletter this month, we discuss the political activity of members of our community, we meet Ted Roddy, a local musician, and we learn more about native trees that are well suited to our area. We are also still seeking a new transportation committee chair. Smooth and safe transportation is a priority for our community, but our plans to tackle the problems on Cameron Road are on hold until we can find a new committee chair. Your involvement is crucial to our work in improving our community. Please email me if you’re interested.

Our next WPNA meeting will be August 11 at 10 am at the Memorial United Methodist Church. We’re hosting two candidates for the mayoral race – Steve Adler and Laura Morrison. Also, we will be learning more about the challenges of homelessness from a representative from ECHO, Ending Community Homelessness Coalition. We hope to see you then!
